The Afigya Kwabre North District Assembly successfully on Monday, 20th February 2023, conducted the 9th Disability Common Fund Disbursement at the First Baptist Church, Boamang. In attendance were the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, the District Social Welfare Officer, Chairperson of the Social Services Sub-committee, the GFDO district president, the DFMC PWD representative, Assembly Members of the beneficiaries, and Fish FM (a local radio station).
The disbursement was categorized into three, that is, education, health and income generation. Beneficiaries in all numbered 31, with 11 receiving assorted income generating items ranging from chest freezers, car battering charging machine, provisions, grinding machine, to fufu pounding machines, printer, industrial sewing machine and detergents, whereas 10 and 7 PWD received education and health support respectively. 3 others were also presented with wheelchairs.
Birth and Death Unit is responsible for issuing of Birth and Death certificate to individuals within and outside the District.
Registration and Issuing of Marriage and Divorce certificate. Apply to the Registrar of Marriages in the District to register your marriage under Marriages Act, 1884-1985 (CAP 127)."
Zoomlion Ghana Limited is in charge of managing solid waste at all public places in the District
Establishment of Schools and allocation of Funds to Persons with Disability in the District.
Any individual or registered entity/organization wishing to operate a business within the District should operate under approved licence by the Assembly.
Land Allocation and Demacation. Providing Building Permit to qualified applicant within the District.
The Afigya Kwabre North District is one of the 260 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana, and forms part of the 43 MMDAs in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
